Ofsted interim inspection 22nd November, 2023
"You have taken highly effective action to rapidly move the school forward. It is evident that you have the full support of staff and parents as you make the school improvement plan a reality."
Ofsted
Ofsted's last inspection of the school was in September 2021, just a few months after the school joined the Downland Village Schools Federation. Even so, the inspectors rated the school "Good" in four out of their five inspection criteria and concluded:
“The quality of education has been improving rapidly since the appointment of the executive headteacher. Pupils are now achieving well. Staff, parents and carers told inspectors that the school is in a much happier place than it was previously”

SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools)
Compton's latest SIAMS inspection was in March 2022, when the school was rated 'Good' and the inspectors concluded:
"The school’s Christian vision for everyone to ‘live life in all its fullness’ underpins all aspects of school life. The school community talk enthusiastically about the vision and the associated values and the way in which they are shaping a deeply inclusive culture."
