The purpose of the Friends of Rake School Association (FoRSA) is to organise events on behalf of the school to raise money which is used to advance the education of all our children by providing facilities that are not normally provided by the Local Authority.

FoRSA is run by a committee which comprises parents and a representative of the school. The committee is supported by many other parents and the school staff. New parents are very welcome to join us, as it will be appreciated that parents move on as their children leave the school. A list of committee members is kept in the notice board at the entrance to the school.  Please feel free to contact any of them - see below.

FoRSA organises many events over the year which are well supported by the local community:

CHRISTMAS FAIR - Many stalls are run by parents, teachers and children including the ever popular Santa’s Grotto.

REGULAR FILM NIGHTS - new and classic children's films with drinks and popcorn served in the interval.

SUMMER FAIR - a delightful afternoon out with traditional stalls, food and entertainment held on the school field - whatever the weather!

DISCOS - At the end of each term a disco is arranged for the children.

FAMILY BARBECUE - a great community event with games, swimming and fabulous food!

OTHER EVENTS - These may include raffles, quiz nights, cake sales, barn dances or an informal get together.

FoRSA also organises refreshments on the Rake School Sports Day in the summer term and support the cost of transport for school trips.
