Kingfishers Class

Kingfishers is a class of year 2 and 3 children. Fun is the key to engaging the children in their learning and we have plenty of that in our topics. In Kingfishers, the children transition from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 2 and are encouraged to take greater responsibility for their learning and daily organisation, which facilitates smooth and efficient running of the day and promotes the very best learning for each child. We see ourselves as a team, learning together, looking out for and helping each other and promoting our Christian values of love, forgiveness and respect. The children’s ideas about what and how they want to learn through each topic, is very much taken into consideration when planning each term and this helps them to be really engaged and take ownership of their learning. Our wonderful outdoor areas are used as much as possible for inspiration and learning in all subjects.
